All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this Wednesday afternoon!  We seem to be on a virtual roller coaster with all the different reports and media commentary.  My suggestion to each of you regardless of what you do each day!  Turn off the TV for one hour and sit down with your Bible!  You can’t go shopping, out to lunch or dinner, your doctor appointments have been scaled back and there are no other clubs or organizations cluttering your day.  This is an excellent time to refamiliarize yourself with the Father in Heaven.  Here is good advice from James 4:8 “Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

Well this afternoon a special letter has been sent to each family within our sphere of influence from our President, Treasurer and Chair of the Brd. Of Elders.  You should be getting the letter by the weekend.  Unfortunately things have been changing so fast some of the things that I mention are already outdated literally hours after it was sent.

The Governor of Florida just said that he is recommending anyone over 65 stay in your home for 2 weeks.  Although there has not been any laws or mandates this is a strong recommendation.  So I trust each of you will make the right choices.  We here at Trinity Lutheran want to uphold with our Government Officials have to say and the experts tell us.  So be aware we are here to help you and guide you in whatever ways we can simply call the church office at 465-5253 or even call me at 441-4168 if you have a need or a concern that we may be able to help you with during these days.

I have attached the modified bulletin for you to follow on Sunday.  The scripture reading are listed that you may want to read over and Susan and picked very familiar hymns.  We plan to live stream at 10:00 AM Sunday on our Facebook page.  If you have a Facebook account go to Trinity’s Facebook page LIKE our page and you will be all set!  If you do not have Facebook it is really easy to set up your own page you may want to do it.

I had and online meeting this morning with President Walton and the other Circuit Visitors of our FL/GA District.  The over-arching message you should not be meeting for Sunday Worship.  We will be here Sunday, but I am not encouraging anyone to come unless you feel comfortable.  Although the Church Council and the Brd. Of Elders agreed on Sunday to continue to offer Sunday Worship, I am asking them with information I learned today to reconsider this decision.  You will be hearing more about this as decisions are made.

Stay in touch.  I have encouraged our Elders to try to make contact with all our members.  But if you don’t hear from them let us know that you are ok by calling into the office!  We are not mind readers and don’t know if you are facing an issue that we can pray about or perhaps help you with in some way.  Just because we are not meeting together in our church building doesn’t mean that we are not the Church for we serve a mighty, mighty God and we must stand together to fight this  Battle together, both physically and spiritually!

I have also sent my sermon for Sunday.  You will find it in the Word Document attached.

Try to have a great remainder of your week and try to make it great for someone else!
