All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this Monday afternoon!  I trust that you all had a wonderful weekend and finding some “cool” places to find some respit from the heat.  I have been in the house all weekend and have not been outside, but I have been watching the weather reports.  Susan and a fantastic crew of teachers and volunteers from the church endured the heat at the Caladium Festival.  I have been told by Susan that Trinity Tots will benefit very well from the efforts of those who helped.

I watched Church on Sunday from home.  This was a new experience for me as I have not done this previously.  Rev. Roberts and Elder Bardon did an outstanding job and deserve many kudos.  But there are several in the background that no one sees that go into the Worship experience.  First there is Susan who along with myself set the theme for the specific Sunday Worship.  Then Carmen our office manager who puts everything together.  Then the finished product is sent to both Bob Sesko and Kayla Selander.  Bob assists us in the fact that he still formats the services into Media Shout format and sends it off to Kayla who then downloads it into our santuary computer so Steve Bradshaw can then lead us through the worship service electonically.  This week there was an added dimension in the fact that all the hymns were on a CD as there was no individual available to play our hymns.  So Steve had to coordinate the music as well.  This combined with the work of the Ushers and Greeter certainly make for many individuals all working to make your worship experience meaningful and worshipful.

I also want to commend the Fellowship Committee established by the Church Council several months back, for there first few after church fellowship hours.  The team has done a great job and hopefully this will be just the beginning of many new fellowship opportunities for everyone in the church.  Fellowship builds church infrastucture and we desperately need more fellowship of some sort.  Not just for some but for all.

As most of you already know I have an issue with people in the New Testament Grace fill era mis quoting and misunderstanding certain passage of Holy Scripture.  My meditation this morning focused on how we misuse Jeremiah 29:11.  You will know the passage immediately upon opening the Word attachments.  Like many other articles I have shared with you I trust that you take advantage of reading the article and perhaps learning something.  I certainly learned a great deal.  Read or discard as you desire.

Well I have to cut this short as Susan is not doubtedly on her way home to take me to my second PT appointment.  I am doing well and feeling a little better each day.

Respectfully In Christ,

Rev. Richard A. Norris
