Mission Statement

The Mission of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to offer a unified congregational worship opportunity, and to glorify God by personal spiritual and congressional growth to reaching out with the love of Christ.

Trinity Lutheran Church was established 47 years ago on December 7th, 1975.  Trinity Lutheran has been served by five pastors during the past 47 years and his currently being served by Rev. Richard Norris, Sr. Pastor and Rev. James Olckers, Assistant Pastor.  Trinity has grown from a small mission congregation to strong mid-sized church with the normal challenges of growth and decline.  During the months of January, February and March, our attendance in this emerging post pandemic times, peaks near or just over 150 and in the summer declines to 50 some Sunday in mid July.  This poses challenges for the church and its members, but God has always provided just what was needed for any given project.

Pastor Norris has served us since April of 1988 or 34 years.  His wife Susan is our Organist, Choir and Praise team director, and serves as our Trinity Tots Preschool Director.  Together they raised four grown children who all live with a three hour drive of their parents.  Pastor and Susan now have 3 granddaughters.

Pastor also serves as the Heartland Circuit Visitor for the FL/GA District.  He is ecclesiatically certified as an Emergency Service Chaplain with the L.C.M.S., serving as Lead Volunteer Chaplain for the Highlands County Sheriff's Office for the past 10 years.

Rev. Olckers has been with us for 2 years and has been serving for the past year or so as the Pulpit Supply Pastor for another congregation in our circuit.
