Several Members and Winter Residents have inquired about online giving. At this time we have no online giving other than “Joyful Response”. Joyful Response is a service offered through Lutheran Church Extension Fund (our Synod’s financial institution) for weekly or monthly deductions from your Checking account. The specific amount of money that you determine will be withdrawn from you checking account as you have directed, and directly deposited into our church account at LCEF. The church then has immediate access to that money as needed each week. Here is a link to the website e-Tithing | Church - LCEF. This explains everything and allows you to set up your account and the amount you want deducted each week or month. The church does not get charged for this service and it has helped us all year long for those who want to regularly support Trinity whether you are here in person or back up North enjoying your summer and fall.
I want to personally invite all of you to attend our Sunday Morning Bible discussion class. This coning week I will be leading a discussion on “Jacob’s Ladder”. Several weeks ago I sent all of the the overviews and discussion guides for over 100 different Biblical accounts. I got these studies for free and they were not written by a Lutheran, but they serve as a good discussion guide. One’s faith is enhanced when you take time to read and study the Word of God, for it is the source of all of God’s desires for all of us, and we all can learn a great deal from such discussion. This weeks opening question is this “who was your favorite aunt or uncle when you were growing up?”
I have attached this weeks sermon.
Have a great week and reach out to someone who needs some cheering up this week. A phone call, drop them a card or maybe take time for a visit. It might do both of you some good!
